This hand-painted serving dish is similar in shape to a traditional Portuguese 'cataplana' dish. This hand thrown, two-handled, terracotta dish is round, almost spherical in form. It comes in two parts, the lid has a large and comfortable handle. This dish is decorated with hand painted cockerels by Carmo Santos, she has also used green leaves and yellow berries, all on a hand painted pale green-grey background.
