A visit to Porches Pottery has proved popular with visitors to the Algarve for many years. The pottery is situated within a walled garden where a fountain plays. The building itself is in the style of a 17th century farmhouse. Within you will discover the atmosphere of a working pottery studio, you will likely find artists at work painting beautiful ceramics by hand.
Alongside the pottery, the Bar Bacchus Café offers delicious light lunches and snacks This intimate café is decorated with beautiful tile panels that depict the life of the Roman god, Bacchus, that were painted by the pottery’s founder, Patrick Swift. In the summer, you can enjoy the shade of the gazebo and terrace enclosed by our gardens.
